WE HAVE MOVED: In-person appointments are being held at a temporary office.
Heather Braumann, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University and works with clients experiencing behavioral concerns, life transitions, unresolved childhood trauma, self-esteem and self-compassion difficulties, and challenges with emotional regulation. She also supports clients in navigating relationships, boundaries, intimacy, and sexuality, and is affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals and identity exploration.
Heather believes therapy should be both supportive and engaging. She incorporates interactive, evidence-based techniques to help clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal goals. Her style balances a warm, approachable presence with a direct and straightforward approach, creating space for humor, authenticity, and real conversation while also helping clients identify patterns, challenge avoidance, and engage in deeper work when needed. She is highly collaborative and adaptable in session, adjusting her approach based on each client’s needs while maintaining a focus on meaningful progress.
When working with adolescents, Heather values the role of parent involvement while maintaining a neutral, nonjudgmental stance. She works to ensure therapy remains a space where youth feel heard and engaged, while also supporting families in navigating concerns together.
Heather provides in-office and virtual therapy Monday through Thursday, including limited evening availability. She offers virtual appointments on Fridays.
Outside of her clinical work, Heather enjoys spending time with her family (when they’re not driving her insane), traveling and trying to see as much of the world as possible, and getting lost in a good book (she’s currently 750+ days into a goal of reading at least 15 minutes a day). She also has a growing collection of houseplants she may or may not have space for, and is usually working on a running list of to-do’s she fully intends to complete. She has a tendency to take on random “side quests” just to keep things interesting.
